New Sun (뉴썬) is a South Korean singer, rapper, and actress. She is a former member of the girl group SONAMOO.
Career[]
2014: Debut with SONAMOO[]
She debuted as a member of SONAMOO on December 29, 2014 with the group's first mini album Deja Vu.
2021–present: "Lotion", departure from TS Entertainment, new agency[]
On June 19, 2021, New Sun made her unofficial solo debut with the self-composed song, "Lotion." The song was only made available on YouTube with its music video[1] and SoundCloud as an audio track.[2] TS Entertainment had no involvement in the song's release.
On September 11, 2021, she confirmed on Instagram that she had departed from TS Entertainment and the group.[3]
On November 1, 2021, she signed a contract with AnB Group. She will be promoting as an actress under her birth name Choi Yoon Sun.[4]
