Girls' Generation is the first Japanese full-length album by Girls' Generation. It was released on June 1, 2011 and features the group's Japanese singles "Genie", "Gee", "Mr. Taxi" and "Run Devil Run". A music video for the track "Bad Girl" was released on August 11.

The album was re-released as The Boys on December 28, 2011, with the title track being used to promote the album. The repackage features a Japanese version of "The Boys", remixed versions of "The Great Escape", "Bad Girl" and "Mr. Taxi", and a new song "Time Machine". A music video for "Time Machine" was released on March 13, 2012

Girls' Generation is the highest-selling album so far by a Korean group in Japan. On June 8, 2012, the RIAJ certified the album "Million" for shipping over a million copies.

Trivia
