ONEUS (원어스) is a five-member boy group under RBW. Originally as six, they debuted on January 9, 2019 with their first mini album Light Us.

History[]

2018: Pre-debut[]

On June 25, 2018, RBW released a debut trailer video for their two new groups ONEUS and ONEWE, their brother group.[2]

On September 17, they released a collaboration single with ONEWE titled "Last Song" following their appearance on the show I Shall Debut! on Olleh TV Mobile.

2019: Debut with Light Us, Raise Us, Japanese debut, Fly With Us, and "808"[]

On January 9, 2019, they made their debut with the first mini album Light Us.

On March 11, RBW announced that Ravn would be temporarily halting all activities due to health concerns and personal reasons. ONEUS would then be proceeding as a five-member group until Ravn comes back.[3]

On May 14, they announced their first ever come back with their second mini album Raise Us as a six-member group with Ravn returning from his hiatus. The album was released on May 29.[4][5]

On August 7, they made their Japanese debut with the single "Twilight".

On September 15, they announced their US tour titled 2019 ONEUS 'Fly With Us' Tour in USA.[6] There would be a total of 6 concerts in 6 different cities with the first being New York in November 3 and the last date being November 15 in Los Angeles.[6]

On August 27, they revealed that their third mini album Fly With Us will be released on September 30.[7]

On December 18, they released their second Japanese single "808".

2020: "In Its Time", Road to Kingdom, Lived, and "Bbusyeo"[]

On March 20, 2020 Mnet confirmed the 7 boy groups participating in Road to Kingdom with ONEUS being one of them. The premiere date was then set to be on April 30.[8]

On March 10, ONEUS revealed a teaser for their first single album "In Its Time". It was released on March 25.[9]

Road to Kingdom then officially began and was aired on April 30 with an online vote beforehand, from March 30 to April 5.[10] During the 90 seconds performances, they danced to "Phantom of ONEUS", which was a remixed version of "Valkyrie" to introduce themself and ranked sixth.[11] During the first round, which was to perform a "king's melody", they had covered "Warrior's Descendant" by H.O.T. and ranked seventh during the first round.[12][13] During the second round, which was to perform your own song, they performed "Lit".[14] They had ranked fourth during the second round, which was determined 30% by the contestants and 70% through votes of an online audience.[15] The next round was a collaborative mission where the groups were randomly chosen to become a pair and prepare a performance together. In the end, PENTAGON was partnered with THE BOYZ and they both agreed to perform "Heroine" by Sunmi where they ranked last out of 3 teams.[16] Overall, it was revealed that their cumulative score was sixth out of 6 teams, meaning they were at risk of eliminations. For the next round, their partners from the previous round had to choose a song for them to cover.[17] The song "Be Mine" by INFINITE was chosen for them. They then ranked sixth, barely escaping the first round of eliminations.[18] For the eighth and final episode, the group performed their new song "Come Back Home". The ultimate winner was decided by a number of things such as the digital score for each new song released by the different groups. Their final rank was fifth out of the six teams remaining.[19]

On July 27, a source from RBW shared that ONEUS is preparing for a comeback in mid-August. On July 30, they announced their fourth mini album Lived, released on August 19.[20]

On November 26, they released three concepts photo for their first digital single "Bbusyeo", which was released on December 1.[21]

2021: Devil, "No Diggity", Binary Code, ONEUS Theatre, "Black Mirror", Blood Moon, "Stay", Ravn's hiatus[]

On December 20, 2021, ONEUS announced their first studio album Devil, released January 19.[22]

On March 24, they released their third Japanese single "No Diggity".

On April 22, ONEUS revealed a teaser for their fifth mini album Binary Code which was released on May 11.[23]

On August 5, they released their second digital single "ONEUS Theatre : Shut Up 받고 Crazy Hot!", which is their first release as a part of the project, ONEUS Theatre.[24]

On August 25, they released their fourth Japanese single "Black Mirror".

On September 3, they released their third digital single "ONEUS Theatre : Life is Beautiful", as a part of their second release for ONEUS Theatre.

On October 5, a source from RBW revealed that ONEUS will be making their comeback with a new album next month.[25] On October 19, they announced their sixth mini album Blood Moon, released on November 9. In the November 17 episode of Show Champion, the group won their first music show win with their song "Luna".[26]

On December 21, they released a collaboration single with ONEWE titled "Stay".

2022: Leedo and Xion's hiatus and 2022 ONEUS Tour "Blood Moon", Trickster, Malus, Dopamine, Ravn's departure[]

On January 12, 2022, RBW released a statement that members Leedo and Xion will be going on a hiatus and take time off to recover. Leedo will be taking around a week off due to skin inflammation on the sole of his feet. Meanwhile, Xion will be taking around one to two weeks off as he had strained his knee going down the stairs and is currently wearing a knee brace.[27]

On January 13, it was revealed through a video, that the group would be going on their 2022 ONEUS Tour 'Blood Moon'. The video ended with 14 different cities' names but no specific date.[28] The next day, on January 14, they then revealed that the tickets would go on sale January 15, PST and EST, while it would technically be January 16 in Korea. The first concert will be February 12 in New York while the 14th and final concert will be March 12 in Beverly Hills, California.[29]

On January 20, it was announced from Leedo that he would be rejoining activities and returning from hiatus.[30]

On April 12, RBW confirmed that ONEUS is preparing for a comeback in May.[31] On April 19, a logo motion teaser was posted which revealed that the group will be releasing their seventh mini album Trickster on May 17.[32]

On August 12, RBW confirmed that ONEUS is preparing for a new album in September.[33] On August 15, the group released a teaser for their eighth mini album Malus, which was released on September 5.[34]

On October 13, a teaser was revealed for their first Japanese studio album Dopamine, which will be released on November 23.[35]

On October 17, RBW announced that ONEUS will promote as a five-member group while Ravn will not participate in group activities due to allegations against him.[36] Ten days later, on October 27, RBW announced that Ravn had voluntarily left ONEUS and that the group would remain as a five-member group.[37]

2023: Pygmalion, La Dolce Vita[]

On April 13, RBW announced that ONEUS will be having a comeback in May with their ninth mini-album.[38] On April 17, they announced the mini album Pygmalion, which was released on May 8.[39]

On September 5, it was announced that the group will be releasing their 10th mini album, La Dolce Vita, on September 26.[40]

Trivia[]

  • Three official color schemes were revealed to them. Being "Earth" the three official colors of the group (Pantone 7691 C, Pantone 7724 C, and Pantone P 1-1 C), "Moon" being the official color for their fandom (Pantone P 10-1 C), and the third scheme called "White Glittering Space", representing the space where both the group and the fans exist together.[52]
  • They are RBW's first dance boy group.
  • Keonhee, Hwanwoong and Seoho are former participants of Produce 101 Season 2.
  • Seoho and Ravn are former participants of MIXNINE.
  • They debuted on the exact same day as VERIVERY.
  • ONEUS is the brother group of the boy band ONEWE.
