Sohee (소희) is a South Korean singer and actress under IOK Company. She is a member of the girl group ALICE.
She made her official solo debut on October 18, 2018 with the digital single "Hurry Up".[1]
Career[]
2016: K-pop Star 6: The Last Chance[]
Sohee first appeared as a contestant on the competition show K-pop Star 6: The Last Chance. During her time on the show, she was part of the KWIN unit. The unit made it to the final episode as the runner-up.
2017–2018: ELRIS, solo debut[]
Following the conclusion of K-pop Star 6: The Last Chance, on May 19, 2017, Sohee released her first solo digital single "Spotlight".
On May 1, 2017, it was announced that Sohee was set to debut in Hunus Entertainment's new girl group following the release of her first solo song.[2] ELRIS (now known as ALICE) officially debuted on June 1, 2017 with their first mini album We, First.
On October 18, 2018, she debuted as a soloist, with the digital single "Hurry Up".
2020: Promotion as ELRIS' leader[]
On February 26, 2020, it was announced that Sohee became the leader of ELRIS (now known as ALICE) after being voted by the members.[3]
2022–present: Debut as an actress, demotion from leadership[]
On March 17, 2022, Sohee made her debut as an actress in the film Idol Recipe.[4]
In February 2022, it was announced that Sohee had casted for the TVING drama Duty After School.[5] The drama would later be aired in 2023.
On April 20, 2022, it was announced that the leadership position in ALICE, originally held by Sohee, would be passed onto Chaejeong.[6]
