TXT (투모로우바이투게더; lit. Tomorrow by Together; short for TOMORROW X TOGETHER) is a five-member boy group under BigHit Music.[n 1] They debuted on March 4, 2019 with the mini album The Dream Chapter: Star.
History[]
2018–2019: Pre-debut[]
On November 27, 2018, it was reported that Big Hit had plans to debut a five-member boy group at the beginning of 2019, being the first group to debut in six years, since BTS' debut in 2013.[1] The group would be composed by members with an average age of 17 and was reportedly have a different concept of their seniors.[2]
On January 9, 2019, the agency launched a website that features a countdown clock and the text “You & Me”. The interactive website also brings up the phrase, “You and I, different but together”.[3] In the day after, the first member of the group was shared, Yeonjun, along with the name of the group: TXT, which stands for Tomorrow X Together and is pronounced in Korea as “Tomorrow by Together”.[4] Three days later, Soobin, the second member, was revealed.[5] Two days later, on January 15, the third member, Hueningkai, was revealed.[6] On January 17, Taehyun, the fourth member, was revealed.[7] On January 20, Beomgyu, the fifth and last member, was revealed.[8]
2019: Debut with The Dream Chapter: Star, The Dream Chapter: Magic[]
On February 7, Big Hit announced the group would release their debut album titled The Dream Chapter: Star on March 4 with a television special titled TOMORROW X TOGETHER Debut Celebration Show Presented by Mnet to be aired that same day. TXT will then hold their debut showcase at YES 24 Live Hall on March 5.[9][10] On February 18, the agency revealed the group's concept logo and member's first concept photos.[11][12][13]
Following the release, their debut mini album topped the iTunes Top Albums chart in over 44 territories. The music video for "Crown" also accumulated 15.1 million views in the first 24 hours, ranking second place on the list of K-pop music videos with the highest number of views in their debut, second only to ITZY's "Dalla Dalla", which had 17.1 million.[14][15]
On April 9, they revealed that they would be holding a showcase tour in the United States called Tomorrow x Together Showcase: Star in US. The group will be holding showcases in six different cities: New York, Chicago, Orlando, Atlanta, Dallas, and Los Angeles. The first one will be in New York on May 9 with the last showcase being on May 24 in Los Angeles.[16]
On April 25, it was announced that the group's fan club would be called "YOUNG ONE."[17] However, on May 6, Big Hit announced they would be revising the name due to similarities to Tiffany's fandom name "Young Ones."[18] On August 22, it was announced that the group's new fan club name would be "MOA."[19] The name is an acronym for "Moments of Alwaysness."
On August 8, Big Hit revealed the group would unable to participate in the "Lotte Duty Free Family Concert" on the 11th due to Soobin being diagnosed with infectious conjunctivitis and Yeonjun recovering from back pain. Their album, which was planned for an late August release was re-scheduled for late September.[20] On August 20, it was revealed that Taehyun and Hueningkai had also contracted the infectious conjunctivitis, further delaying their music video filming and production, with the album now set for a late October release.[21]
On October 2, a teaser video was released for their first full-length album titled The Dream Chapter: Magic, which was released on October 21.[22]
2020: Japanese debut, The Dream Chapter: Eternity, "Drama", & Minisode1 : Blue Hour[]
On November 28, 2019, TXT announced that they would be releasing their debut Japanese single "Magic Hour" on January 15, 2020, with pre-sales starting at noon on the same day.[23]
The group released their second mini album, The Dream Chapter: Eternity on May 18 with "Can't You See Me?" as the title track.
On June 24, TXT announced their second Japanese single, "Drama", which was released on August 19.[24]
At midnight on September 21, Big Hit released a teaser video for TXT's upcoming third mini album, Minisode1 : Blue Hour, to be released on October 26.[25]
2021: Still Dreaming, The Chaos Chapter: Freeze, The Chaos Chapter: Fight or Escape, Chaotic Wonderland[]
On January 20, TXT released their first Japanese studio album Still Dreaming.
On April 7, YTN Star reported that the group would be making their Korean comeback in May. Big Hit Music responded that they will reveal the comeback plans once they are finalized.[26] On April 22, Big Hit Music confirmed the group would be making a comeback in late May.[27] On the midnight of April 30, it was announced that the group would be making a comeback on May 31 with the album The Chaos Chapter: Freeze.[28][29]
On July 15, SPO TV News reported that TXT is preparing to make a comeback in August. Big Hit Music responded that nothing has been decided yet.[30] On July 19, a repackage album titled The Chaos Chapter: Fight or Escape was announced to be released on August 17.[31]
On September 6, the group announced the release of their first Japanese EP, Chaotic Wonderland, which was released on November 10.[32]
2022: Minisode 2: Thursday's Child, Act : Love Sick, "Good Boy Gone Bad", "Valley of Lies"[]
On April 6, 2022, Star News reported that TXT would be making a comeback in early May, and BigHit Music confirmed the reports in response.[33] On April 14, a teaser video was posted which announced that they will be coming back on May 9 with their fourth mini album, Minisode 2: Thursday's Child.[34]
On April 26, TXT officially announced their plans for their first world tour, Act : Love Sick, which will start in Seoul on July 2.[35]
On June 29, TXT announced their third Japanese single, "Good Boy Gone Bad", which will be released on August 31.[36]
On July 11, TXT posted a teaser for their single titled "Valley of Lies" which features American rapper and singer Iann Dior. It released on July 22.[37]
2023: The Name Chapter: Temptation, Sweet, "Do It Like That", "Back for More", "Back for More (More Edition)", The Name Chapter: Freefall[]
On November 10, 2022, during HYBE's 2022 HYBE Briefing With the Community, it was announced that TXT will be releasing their fifth mini album in January 2023.[38] On November 30, TXT released the first concept teaser for their January comeback titled "The Name Chapter".[39] The album's title was later revealed to be The Name Chapter: Temptation, set to be released on January 27.[40]
On April 28, it was announced that TXT will release their second Japanese studio album, Sweet, on July 5.[41]
On June 8, Big Hit confirmed that TXT will be releasing a new song in July and that they plan on announcing the schedule at a later date.[42] On June 16, TXT unveiled the first teaser for their upcoming digital single.[43] On June 22, a teaser photo was posted onto the group's social media accounts which revealed that TXT will be releasing a collaboration single with the Jonas Brothers titled "Do It Like That" on July 7.[44]
On August 29, Sports Chosun reported that TXT will be releasing an album on October 13. BigHit Music announced that the exact schedule will be released later.[45] On August 30, it was announced that TXT will be releasing their third full-length album, The Name Chapter: Freefall, on October 13.[46][47] On September 4, it was announced that TXT will be releasing their collaboration single with Anitta, "Back for More" as a pre-release single, which will be released on September 15.[48] Three additional versions of "Back For More" were released through "Back for More (More Edition)" on September 18.[49]
On November 1, it was announced that TXT will be singing the opening song for the Solo Leveling animation series in collaboration with Sawano Hiroyuki.[50]
2024: Minisode 3: Tomorrow[]
On February 16, 2024, SPOTV NEWS reported that TXT will be having a comeback in April.[51] On March 3, it was confirmed that TXT would be releasing their sixth mini album, Minisode 3: Tomorrow, on April 1.[52]

The members don't have exact official fixed positions, except the leader, it's the only official position that was announced by BigHit Music on January 14, 2019. They all can sing, dance and rap.
