Yezi (예지) is a South Korean rapper and singer.[1] She is a former member of the girl group FIESTAR.
She made her solo debut on January 28, 2016 with the single album "Foresight Dream".
Career[]
2012–2018: FIESTAR[]
She debuted as a member of FIESTAR on August 31, 2012 with the single album "Vista".
In September 2015, she became a contestant on the competition show Unpretty Rapstar 2, where she garnered attention for her song "Crazy Dog". She ended the show as a semi-finalist.[2]
On May 15, 2018, it was announced that following the expiration of the members' contracts on April 30, FIESTAR would officially disband after six years of activities.[3]
2019–2020: New agency[]
On July 2, 2019, JG Star Entertainment announced that Yezi had signed on with the agency.[1] Her first single under the agency, "My Gravity", was released on January 30, 2020. The single marked her first release after FIESTAR disbanded, and also her first under JG Star.
2023-present: Departure from JG Star Entertainment[]
On January 30, 2023, it was revealed that Yezi had left JG Star Entertainment following contract expiration and decided not to renew.[4]
